Round-neck half sleeve
The volume workhorse. 1x1 rib collar, shoulder-to-shoulder taping, side-seamed or tubular. The default for promotional, uniform and entry-price retail programmes.
OZIANT lists IEC, GST and bank verified manufacturers that knit, dye, cut and sew men's cotton t-shirts in Tirupur and ship them to wholesalers, private-label brands and importers in the USA, UK, Germany, UAE and Australia — 500 pieces minimum, 18–25 day lead time, one documentation window from PI to Bill of Lading.
Request an FOB Quote Talk to SalesTwelve base silhouettes sit in the standard Tirupur block library that listed units work from. Each one has graded patterns from XS to 5XL in both US/EU and Asian fits, so a buyer moving a programme from one market to another does not pay for a new pattern set. Every silhouette below is available in a minimum of three knit constructions.
The volume workhorse. 1x1 rib collar, shoulder-to-shoulder taping, side-seamed or tubular. The default for promotional, uniform and entry-price retail programmes.
Set-in long sleeve with rib cuff or plain hem. The single largest search term in the Indian market and a steady autumn/winter line for northern-hemisphere buyers.
Boxy body, dropped armhole, wide rib neck, 220–240 GSM. Half and full sleeve. The streetwear standard — see the construction notes.
Two- or three-button placket, half or full sleeve. Higher perceived value at roughly the same fabric cost; good margin filler in a mixed container.
Two-button placket, knitted collar and cuff, side vents. 220 GSM pique is the corporate standard; 180 GSM jersey polo reads more premium-casual.
Diagonal sleeve seam, contrast sleeve option. Used for sports, college and baseball-tee programmes; a low-cost way to add a second colour without printing.
Extended body with a scooped hem. Popular in UK and Gulf street retail. Adds roughly 8–10% to fabric consumption.
V-neck on 160–180 GSM combed; acid, mineral and garment-dye washes on heavy jersey for a lived-in hand feel. Wash lots are batch-matched.
GSM alone does not describe a t-shirt. Yarn count, knit structure and finishing route change the hand feel, the shrinkage and the price more than weight does. This is the table our merchandisers work from — quote against it and your costing will land within a few cents of the final PI.

| Slub cotton | 175 | 20s slub | Textured casual, boutique programmes | 2.90 – 3.70 |
| Cotton-lycra 95/5 | 190 | 30s + spandex | Slim fit, athleisure, shape retention | 3.10 – 4.00 |
| Cotton pique | 220 | 26s combed | Polos, corporate uniform | 3.60 – 4.80 |
| Heavy jersey | 220 | 20s combed | Oversized, streetwear | 3.80 – 5.10 |
| French terry | 240 | 20s combed | Heavyweight oversized, boxy fits | 4.40 – 5.90 |
| Organic combed (GOTS route) | 180 | 30s organic | EU sustainability-led brands | 3.90 – 6.40 |
Oversized is where most first-time importers get burned, because "oversized" is not a size — it is a block. Buying a 2XL body and calling it oversized produces a garment that is wide and long, which is not the look the end consumer wants.
Buyer tip: ask for the drop-shoulder measurement (HPS to shoulder seam) on the size chart, not just chest and length. If a supplier cannot give it to you, they are grading a regular block up and hoping.
Full-sleeve tees carry a higher return rate than any other knit style, and almost all of it traces to two details: cuff recovery and neck stretch-back. Both are specification decisions, not luck.
| Detail | Options | What we recommend and why |
|---|---|---|
| Neck rib | 1x1 rib, 2x2 rib, self-fabric binding | 1x1 combed rib with 5% spandex. Recovers after 30 wash cycles; plain self-fabric necks go wavy by cycle 10. |
| Neck taping | None, back-neck tape, shoulder-to-shoulder tape | Shoulder-to-shoulder herringbone tape. Adds ~USD 0.06 and removes the most common seam-failure claim. |
| Sleeve cuff | Plain hem, rib cuff, ribbed with spandex | Rib cuff with spandex on full sleeve; plain cover-stitch hem on oversized full sleeve for the intended relaxed look. |
| Side seam | Tubular (seamless), side-seamed | Side-seamed for anything above entry price. Tubular twists after washing and shows on the shelf. |
| Stitching | Single needle, twin needle, cover stitch | Twin-needle hem and sleeve, single-needle armhole, cover-stitch neck. |
| Labelling | Woven, printed satin, tagless heat transfer | Tagless transfer for USA/DACH retail; woven loop label for Gulf and UK independents. |

MOQ is 500 pieces per colour per style. Across a single style you can split colours at 500 each, so a 2,000-piece order can carry four colourways. A 40-foot high-cube holds roughly 18,000–22,000 poly-bagged t-shirts depending on GSM and fold.
Around two-thirds of what leaves our floor carries somebody else's brand name. The OEM programme covers everything the garment needs to arrive retail-ready:
Own-brand alternative. If you want stock rather than a development cycle, OZIANT's own-brand blanks ship from a standing colour card in 10–12 days at 200 pieces minimum. Useful for filling a container or testing a market before committing to a private-label run.

Largest destination for Tirupur knitwear. Buyers are typically importers and Amazon private-label brands moving 5,000–50,000 pieces per style. Plan for FNSKU labelling at source and a 28–35 day ocean transit from Chennai to the US East Coast.
Certification-driven. GOTS or Oeko-Tex is close to a precondition above mid-market, and the EU's supply-chain due-diligence expectations mean buyers ask for the mill name, not just the garment factory. We disclose both.
Smaller order sizes, faster reorders, high sensitivity to fit consistency between production runs. Listed units hold graded pattern files per buyer, so a repeat six months later measures the same.
Fast-turn, mixed-category containers, and a strong preference for suppliers who can consolidate garments with other consumer lines. Wedge Group's Hong Kong and India desks handle that consolidation on one Bill of Lading.
Indian search demand for these styles is substantial — round-neck, full-sleeve and oversized cotton tees together draw well over a million monthly searches, and full-sleeve men's tees alone sit in the highest search-volume bracket Google reports. If you are an Indian retailer, D2C brand or marketplace seller rather than an overseas importer, the same production line serves you on domestic terms.
| Style | Domestic MOQ | Ex-works (INR/pc) | Typical online MRP (INR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Round-neck half sleeve, 160 GSM | 300 pcs | 145 – 185 | 399 – 599 |
| Round-neck full sleeve, 180 GSM | 300 pcs | 195 – 245 | 599 – 899 |
| Oversized drop-shoulder, 220 GSM | 300 pcs | 265 – 340 | 799 – 1,299 |
| Polo, 220 GSM pique | 300 pcs | 285 – 365 | 899 – 1,399 |
Indicative planning figures, not a quotation. GST at 5% below INR 1,000 MRP and 12% above applies on domestic supply. Marketplace commission, returns and marketing typically absorb 25–35% of MRP in Indian D2C — build that into your landed margin before setting a price.
500 pieces per colour per style for export orders, 300 pieces for domestic Indian supply. Across a single style you can split colours at 500 each, so a 2,000-piece order can carry four colourways. Own-brand stock blanks start at 200 pieces.
18–25 days for a first order after sample approval, 22–28 days for repeat programmes above 3,000 pieces. Sampling adds 7–10 days before that. Add ocean transit: roughly 18–22 days to Jebel Ali, 22–26 days to Northern Europe, 28–35 days to the US East Coast.
220 GSM heavy jersey as a minimum, 240 GSM French terry for a premium streetwear feel. Below 220 GSM the extra width in an oversized block reads as a poorly fitting garment rather than a deliberate cut, and return rates climb.
Yes. Organic programmes run on a certified mill-to-garment chain with a GOTS transaction certificate issued against the shipment. Expect roughly 25–40% above the equivalent conventional FOB and 5–7 additional days for certificate issuance.
Yes — woven and printed labels, tagless heat transfer, silicone and rubber patches, custom hangtags, poly bags with your barcode, and retail-ready carton artwork. Pattern making and tech-pack creation are included free above 3,000 pieces.
30% advance against proforma invoice, balance against a copy Bill of Lading. Irrevocable L/C at sight is accepted from established buyers, and terms are negotiable above container volumes.
6109.10 covers t-shirts, singlets and other vests of cotton, knitted or crocheted. The US statistical suffix is commonly 6109.10.0012 for men's or boys' cotton t-shirts; the EU and UK use 6109.10.00. Confirm the exact sub-heading and current duty with your customs broker before booking.
Yes. You can nominate SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas or QIMA, or send your own QA team. We also run our own inline inspections at 20% and 60% sewn and a final AQL 2.5 / 4.0 check, and the report reaches you before the goods leave the unit.
Send a tech pack, a reference garment or just a photograph and a target price. You will get a line-by-line costing sheet — fabric, knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing, trims, print, packing — not a single number with everything buried inside it.
