Most of what circulates as "raw Indian hair" is neither raw nor, in many cases, Indian. Here is the actual supply chain, so you can audit whoever you buy from — including us.
How to audit any hair vendor in one question: ask for a photograph of the intact donor ponytail with the tie still on, before wefting, with your order reference written on a card in the frame. A source-buying factory can produce it the same day. A reseller cannot produce it at all.
"7A", "10A", "12A" are marketing labels with no governing standard behind them — any vendor can print any number. We quote against physical properties instead.

We will supply any of these five. What we will not do is print "raw" on a processed unit. If your price point needs processed hair, we will say so on the PI and on the packaging, and you can position it accurately to your own customers — which protects your reviews.

Many buyers start with components rather than finished units — lower capital per SKU, and their own stylist assembles locally. We supply both from the same sorted hair, so a customer's frontal matches the bundles they bought three months earlier.

Hair ships by air, not sea — the value-to-weight ratio makes ocean freight pointless and the moisture risk in a container is real. A 50-piece wig order is roughly 12–18 kg and clears as a single courier consignment, which is why this category reaches first revenue faster than any other line on the platform.

The largest and most sophisticated market. Buyers know the grade vocabulary, ask for donor photographs, and will test a unit before reordering. 13x6 HD glueless in 18"–22" at 150% density is the retail centre of gravity. Reviews are the entire business — never oversell a grade here.
Smaller units per order, higher reorder frequency, and growing pressure for ethical-sourcing evidence. Temple-tonsure origin is a genuine advantage in this conversation — it is consensual, documented and religious in origin, which is more than most of the global supply chain can say.
Very large volume, price-sensitive, and heavily weighted to bundles and closures over finished wigs. SONCAP must be arranged before shipment.

Nothing standardised — there is no governing body behind those labels and any vendor can print any number. Quote and buy against physical properties instead: donor count, cuticle alignment, single- or double-drawn, and whether the hair has been chemically processed or steam-textured.
A 13x4 or 13x6 frontal wig has lace across the front hairline only, with machine wefts behind — it parts freely at the front and costs roughly half a full lace. A full lace wig is lace throughout, parts anywhere and wears in a high ponytail, but takes 30–40 hand-ventilating hours.
150% is the retail default and photographs most naturally. 130% suits fine-hair and mature markets, 180% suits volume-led markets, and 250% is for stage, editorial and drag. If you stock one density, stock 150%.
Raw single-donor: 3–5 years with proper care. Raw temple multi-donor: 2–3 years. Remy double-drawn: 1.5–2.5 years. Processed and steam-textured hair: 6–12 months. Anyone quoting five years on a sub-USD-100 unit is describing a different product from the one they will ship.

6704.11 for complete wigs of human hair and 6704.19 for other articles of human hair. Dressed but unassembled hair falls under 6703.00, and unworked hair under 0501.00 — note that India restricts the export of certain unworked-hair categories, so the finished unit is the compliant route.
