OZIANT connects overseas online stores with verified Indian manufacturers that ship order by order, straight to the end customer. ZJELL Limited, our Hong Kong and India trade partner, runs the export side: compliance, labelling, duty-paid shipping and USD billing from Hong Kong.
Dropshipping is a retail model where the store never holds stock. When a customer orders, the order goes to the supplier, and the supplier packs and ships it directly to the customer under the store’s brand.
Most dropshipping today runs out of China. India is the better source for a specific set of products: hand block-printed textiles, silver jewellery, leather goods, ayurvedic personal care, incense, brass and wood handicrafts, and ethnic wear. These are categories where Indian makers have depth that Chinese catalogues copy but rarely match.
The hard part has never been finding an Indian maker. It is getting a single parcel out of India legally, labelled correctly for the destination, cleared through customs with duty paid, and invoiced in a currency the store can reconcile. That is what OZIANT and ZJELL Limited do.

Since the US ended duty-free entry for small parcels and the EU started charging customs on them, “ship everything one parcel at a time” is no longer the only, or always the cheapest, option. We match the model to the product and the market.
Each order ships from the Indian supplier to your customer by express courier, duty-paid, in neutral or your branded packaging. Best for high-value, light items such as jewellery, scarves and leather accessories.
Boutiques, gift shops and diaspora stores order small cartons, not containers. The supplier ships the carton straight to the shop. Best for home textiles, incense and handicraft ranges.
Fast-moving SKUs go by air or sea freight to a fulfilment warehouse in your market; slow movers stay dropshipped from India. One duty entry instead of hundreds, faster delivery for the bestsellers.

For Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy and Faire sellers, boutique retailers and diaspora importers in the USA, UK, Europe, the Gulf and Australia.

For makers, exporters and D2C brands who want overseas orders without opening a foreign company, warehouse or bank account.
A good dropshipping product is light, small, hard to break, does not spoil, carries a healthy margin over shipping cost, and faces few import rules at the destination.
India’s strongest dropshipping categories meet all of those tests. The table below rates each category against them. For the full ranking, and why silver jewellery comes first, read our guide to the best products for dropshipping from India.

| Product category | Dropship fit | Why | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Silver and fashion jewellery | Excellent | Very high value per gram, tiny parcels, India is a world centre for 925 silver. | Hallmark or purity claims; nickel limits for the EU. |
| Scarves, stoles and shawls | Excellent | Light, unbreakable, no sizing, strong design story. | Fibre content labels; AZO-free dyes for the EU. |
| Cushion covers, table linen, bedspreads | Excellent | Flat-packed covers travel cheaply; block print and embroidery sell well abroad. | Ship covers without fillers; OEKO-TEX or GOTS if claimed. |
| Leather wallets, belts, small bags | Very good | Durable and premium-priced. | Cow and buffalo only; no exotic skins (CITES). |
| Incense, dhoop and resin | Very good | Cheap to ship, repeat purchase, recognised Indian origin. | Ingredient disclosure; some EU labelling rules. |
| Small brass, wood and stone handicrafts | Very good | Distinctive, giftable, margins absorb shipping. | Keep under 2 kg; pack for drops; no sandalwood logs. |
| Yoga and meditation accessories | Very good | Cotton straps, bolster covers, malas: light and evergreen. | Ship bolsters unfilled. |
| Handmade paper, journals, stationery | Good | Light, giftable, low regulation. | Moisture-proof packing. |
| Ethnic wear, kurtis, kaftans | Good, with care | Strong diaspora and boutique demand. | Size charts and returns drive margin; start with free-size styles. |
| Ayurvedic skincare, hair oils, soaps | Compliance-gated | High margin, strong demand. | US FDA cosmetic facility registration and listing; EU CPNP plus an EU Responsible Person; no medical claims. |
| Tea, spices and packaged foods | Compliance-gated | Repeat purchase, recognised origin. | FDA food facility registration and Prior Notice for every US shipment; organic claims need recognised certification. |
| Herbal supplements (ashwagandha, moringa) | Market by market | High demand, but rules differ sharply between countries. | Check the destination’s novel-food and supplement rules before listing. |
Some products fail on weight, breakage, shelf life, safety rules or the law. Dropship them and you will lose money on freight, returns or seized parcels. Ship them as freight instead, or not at all.

| Product type | Dropship fit | The problem | Better route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Furniture and large home decor | Avoid | Courier prices on volumetric weight, so a chair costs more to ship than to make. | Sea freight to a local warehouse (hybrid model). |
| Marble, granite and stone slabs | Avoid | Heavy and breakable. | Container shipment. |
| Glassware, ceramics, pottery | High risk | Breakage rates on single parcels wipe out margin. | Palletised wholesale only. |
| Fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy, sweets | Avoid | Perishable, phytosanitary and food-safety rules at every border. | Cold-chain air cargo with a licensed importer. |
| Perfumes, attars, essential oils, aerosols | Restricted | Usually flammable; classed as dangerous goods for air transport. | Dangerous-goods freight with proper declaration. |
| Electronics and anything with lithium batteries | Restricted | Battery shipping rules plus FCC, CE or UKCA certification. | Certified products via freight. |
| Children’s toys and baby products | High risk | Mandatory safety testing (CPSIA in the US, EN 71 in the EU) before sale. | Only with test reports on file. |
| Medicines and ayurvedic products with medical claims | Do not ship | Treated as unapproved drugs; parcels are refused or destroyed. | Reformulate as cosmetics without claims, or license properly. |
| Branded replicas and copied designs | Do not ship | Trademark and copyright infringement; seizure and store bans. | Original designs only. |
| Wildlife-derived items, seeds and plants | Do not ship | Peacock feathers, exotic leathers, ivory-look items, sandalwood, live plants and seeds fall under CITES, India’s wildlife law or quarantine rules. | Not exportable by parcel. |
| Gold jewellery and precious stones | Case by case | Insurance, valuation and gem-and-jewellery export procedures. | Insured valuable-cargo service. |
ZJELL Limited is the Wedge Group’s export management company, with offices in Hong Kong, New Delhi and London. It is the partner that lets an Indian seller dropship into export markets without building an export department.
The Hong Kong company buys from the Indian supplier and sells to the overseas store. Goods ship directly from India to the destination and never pass through Hong Kong. The overseas buyer gets a USD invoice from an internationally banked Hong Kong company; the Indian seller gets a straightforward export sale.

Small-parcel trade was rewritten between 2025 and 2026. Any dropshipping offer that still promises duty-free parcels is out of date.
| Market | What changed | What we do about it |
|---|---|---|
| India (exports) | The ₹10 lakh per-consignment limit on courier exports was removed from 01-04-2026 (DGFT Notification 67/2025-26), and CBIC simplified returns and re-import procedures for courier and e-commerce exports. | Larger wholesale-dropship cartons can now move by courier instead of formal cargo. |
| USA | Duty-free de minimis entry for low-value parcels is suspended for all countries; the suspension was continued by Executive Order in February 2026. Every parcel now owes duty. | We quote and ship DDP, so duty is paid before delivery and priced into your landed cost. |
| European Union | The €150 customs duty exemption has been replaced by a flat €3 customs charge on low-value B2C consignments from 01-07-2026. VAT has been due on all imports since 2021 (IOSS). | We build the €3 charge and VAT into the landed price, and advise on IOSS registration. |
| United Kingdom | For consignments up to £135, the seller charges UK VAT at the point of sale. The government has announced the £135 customs duty relief will be removed by March 2029 at the latest. | We flag the VAT registration you need and plan for duty on every parcel. |
These rules are current as of 30-10-2026 and change often. Check the latest position with ZJELL before you price a range.

Yes. Indian sellers can export single orders by courier under the Foreign Trade Policy, provided they hold an IEC, the product is freely exportable, and the shipment is declared correctly. Since 01-04-2026 there is no per-consignment value limit on courier exports.
Express courier delivery to the USA, UK, EU and UAE typically takes 4 to 8 working days from dispatch, plus the supplier’s handling time. Postal services are cheaper but slower and less predictable.
Someone always does now. We recommend DDP (delivered duty paid) shipping, where duty is paid before delivery and included in your landed cost, so the end customer is never asked to pay at the door.
Yes. Blind shipping with your insert cards is standard, and many OZIANT suppliers offer private-label packaging and product branding at agreed minimum quantities.
ZJELL Limited, based in Hong Kong with offices in India, handles the export layer: supplier compliance checks, HS classification, labelling, courier and freight booking, duty-paid delivery and USD invoicing from Hong Kong.
Silver jewellery, scarves and stoles, cushion covers and table linen, small leather goods, incense, small handicrafts and yoga accessories. They are light, durable, non-perishable and carry margins that absorb shipping cost.
Furniture, stone, glass and ceramics, perishable food, perfumes and other flammable liquids, battery-powered electronics, children’s toys without test reports, products with medical claims, replicas, and wildlife-derived items.
An IEC, GST registration, a LUT for zero-rated exports, an AD code with your bank, and products that meet the destination’s labelling rules. ZJELL reviews all of this when you list on OZIANT and tells you what is missing.
Overseas stores: send us the products you want to sell and the markets you sell into. Indian sellers: list your range and let ZJELL take it abroad.
