Context

India's exports to the UK fell 7.60% across FY2025-26 to US$13.44 billion — that decline happened before CETA came into force. The entire benefit of these cuts is still ahead. On the Indian side, 89.5% of tariff lines covering 89.4% of trade value are liberalised, with 30.3% of trade value freed immediately. The bilateral target is US$100 billion by 2030.
